Review on Public Speaking
Dear Aunty Tolulope, I read your book and I love it! I so love it! I don’t get to meet someone with such talent. Too bad I can’t get to meet you but you see this letter is for you. I love stories just like your daughters. Maybe we have some things in common. All these stories teach me a lot like the morals. It really teaches me. Thank you.

Review on Bloom & Excel Series
I read the stories in both series and was really awed that Mrs. Tolulope Ekwe clearly explained, in story format, simple ways to teach character to my daughter. I am happy to have read the books.

Review on Both Series
I have known Mrs. Ekwe for a while. If she writes for children, your best bet is to look for all her books and read them. It gives me great pleasure to know as a compelling children’s books writer.

Don’t dare start reading this pulsating story without having your virtual seat belt on. The writer, right from the onset, grips us with a fast-paced, exciting narrative and adds to that the extremely distressing, throbbing and painful anguish of the two main characters of the story.
We get to meet Dr. Olamide, a consultant obstetrician and gynaecologist who is battling an overwhelming situation unrelated to his medical profession but which will eventually impact greatly on the effective discharge of his professional responsibility. It’s an emergency and I dare say it’s a matter of life and death. On account of Dr. Olamide’s unresolved situation, Mrs Bettina (Betty) Danjuma’s life hangs in the balance.
Will Dr. Olamide be able to outwit other people’s disorderly conduct on time and overcome the gridlock of “Five Queues on a Two-Lane Road” (as the book is titled) for the sake of saving, not just one but, two lives? Answers unfold only if the young readers, for which this story is targeted, survive to the very end the gripping suspense and emotional roller-coaster so brilliantly crafted by this writer, Tolulope Ekwe. It makes one crave for her other titles in the “Bloom and Excel Series” for children.
All the young readers who survive the suspense of the story to the end are, rightfully, rewarded with not just insights into the causes and effects of problems created by our choices and decisions but also the lessons to be learnt with the involvement of their parents. I would have also wished that the rewards did not end there. The setting of the story will no doubt heighten the curiosity of our young readers about the importance and challenges of the medical profession including the imperatives of civil order and civic responsibility in our daily life. All the young readers, whom I’m sure will excitingly get to the last page, should have been further rewarded with the opportunity to enrich their vocabulary with a glossary of words especially some of the technical medical terms.
The general outlook of the book is highly commendable. One can easily describe the book’s illustration, cover design, page layout and font style as visually appealing, beautiful and creative. This will, undoubtedly, be the first thing that will draw our young readers to this book.
I encourage all kids and their parents to read the book for the gripping and suspenseful narrative and the lessons to be learnt by all – both young and old. Without reservations, I’d give the book a four and half (4.5) star rating.
